One thing’s certain: I’m probably not doing this again. It’s too boring. I’m pretty sure there’s less than 50 of us for the 40-mile race.

I got an email the other day from Newton Running about their zero-drop MV2 shoe announcement. What perfect timing since I’m trying out minimalist running again. But unfortunately, along with their Manolo-Blahnik pricing ($125), they somehow had a lapse of judgment…and made the toe box narrower…just like any other big-name shoe manufacturer that jumped the “minimalist shoe bandwagon.” FAIL for Newton.
I ended up ordering two other shoes to try out: the Vivo Ultra, and the SoftStar RunAmoc Dash (Road version). Both have wide toe box. Because, you know, minimalist running is supposed to emulate barefoot running…you can’t do that with a constricted toe box.

It’s probably a phase right now…I started going minimalist tonight with my Vibrams FF Classic which I bought maybe a year ago. Now I know why I never got accustomed to this thing; it gave me lotsa blisters. :-/

I upgraded the 120GB 5200rpm stock Fujitsu drive to a 320GB 7200rpm Western Digital hoping to boost the performance a little bit as it has become molasses-slow since the upgrade to Lion…

When I saw the tech demo last year I was impressed, although I thought this would be one of those vaporware cameras…fast forward to today my jaw dropped when the camera was used for a fashion photoshoot.

I just finished installing this printer (wireless) on my network. It’s a bit a pain in the butt to install because for some reason I can’t set it up via Wi-Fi Protected Setup; I was forced to setup the wireless connection by temporarily tethering it to my iMac via USB and run the dinky software from the CD that came with the printer.
It has a surprisingly small footprint, but it’s LOUD when it prints…but for $130, it’s nothing to sneeze at.

Updated my iMac to OS X Lion. The only issue i see so far is that Google’s Quick Search Box freezes. I switched to QuickSilver…for now
