    One thing that I have learned about all this is that my 2009 Subaru Tribeca has absolute best AWD system I’ve ever driven: I did NOT experience slips when I had to drive the day after the blizzard; the AWD kicks in just at the right time with the right amount just to counteract the spin.  With my previous 4WDs (the Nissan Pathfinder) and BMW 325xi, the driving conditions will guarantee a spinout no matter how careful I drove.

    Oh…and I’m definitely saving my pennies for a 2-stage snowthrower.
