iPhone Rants…

So, apparently some hax0r was able to port Android to the original iPhone.  OK…what is the point of doing this exercise?  I’m not discounting his effort…I’m sure it took a lot of software hacking skills to do it…but why do it?   I mean, really?  Besides being able to gloat about it on YouTube?

You can put the engine of a Pinto in a BMW M5 Body but it doesn’t mean you should.

I don’t know if that engineer who lost the iPhone got fired yet.  If I were Steve Jobs, I would fire the nanosecond I found out this irresponsible engineer lost the iPhone.  People would kill (me included) to have his job, and taking it for granted like that is just unacceptable.  I don’t care if he accidentally lost it.  I really don’t.

Gizmodo.com sure is milking that exclusive expose on the next iPhone.  IMO, what they did was pretty damn stupid.  I would have just concealed that secret and use that leverage to be able to get an exclusive interview with Steve Jobs on iPhone launch or something.  I mean, the editors are bunch of amateurs.  I honestly think Gawker lost a huge chunk of credibility on this.
