Max sync speed on the CyberSync is 1/2000.
And the new battery powered receivers can act as repeaters (hold the test button for more than 5 seconds until a faster blinking light is on) to trigger other Cybersync receivers .

My experience with the Cybersync system has been considerably different. Performance has been head and shoulders above the Ebay triggers I used for a short period of time. The Ebay triggers were extremely unreliable and used odd, expensive batteries. After a few weeks of poor performance - high misfire rate, I literally tossed them in the garbage and ordered the Cybersyncs. What a difference! The Cybersyncs have delivered 99%+ trigger rates. As for the build quality, I've dropped the receivers several times but they keep working perfectly. The transmitter is easy to get on an off the camera hot shoe but is tight enough so a locking mechanism is not required - even after two years of taking it on and off multiple Nikon bodies. The one design flaw is the on/test button. It is easy to press inadvertently in a camera bag and doesn't shut off for an hour if not used. Over the long haul this will shorten battery life although mine have lasted for the better part of 18 months before running down. Bottom line: A well built, consistent performing radio trigger system for people that don't use TTL. My use: Portraits and band shot both in the studio and on location. I also mix speedlights and DC powered monolights. I highly recommend the Cybersync system.

I'm pretty sure they sync up to 1/250...no high-speed sync capabilites.

I've had my CyberSyncs for a year now and they are still firing 100% of the time. Of course, I have the battery powered receivers so they're different than what you've reviewed here. I know Pocket Wizards are supposed to be the best, but you get more channels with the CyberSyncs and 100% reliability for almost 1/3 the cost. And no, I haven't used PWs, though i'm not really sure how you can beat 100%. my two cents.

I recently purchased one Cybersync transmitter and three battery-powered receivers to replace a similiar set of PW that were stolen from my car last year. The Cybersyncs have performed every bit as reliable as my old PWs (100% reliable this far), and battery capacity seems to outlast that of the PW's. In my opinion, build quality actually seems better on the battery-powered CS's compared to the PW Plus units (which never impressed me much.) I also own Radiopopper P1's, and although they are a completely different product, the Cybersyncs have impressed me more in terms of reliability. True, some details could have been better designed, but for the price I would say they represent terrific value for money. Unless you really need the extra features of the PW's or Radiopoppers then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Cybersyncs.

^^^ You forgot to note that i also compared it with a $25 RF triggers sold on e-Bay.

PWs have features that are not offered with CS, which somwhat justifies the higher price. plus the fact that PW can be used with regular flash, it's a plus.

On the other hand, ithe eBay triggers vis-a-vis CS...i dunno. CS doesn't really have anything to offer more, feature-wise.

Have you tried PWs? Looks like you haven't. Once you really used PWs, i can almost guarantee that you cannot imagine going back to anything else.

Thanks for visiting.

You gotta be kiddin me?! Comparing a 370.00 set of PWs to a 135.00 set of Cybersyncs?!

The PWs better have superior quality. These are friggin transmitters and receives. their pupose is simple

I have Cybersyncs and they have never flaked on me. And margninally superior quality of construction doesn't justify paying over twice as much.
