I’ve been trying out Adobe LightRoom Beta 4 in the last half-hour or so…and I think it has improved a lot compared to the last time I tried it (Beta 2?).  No more porterization as far as I can see on the images I’ve tested.  User interface needs getting used to…and still slow on my PC.  One of the neat features about LightRoom is Lens Vignetting.  Usually in photoshop, adding vignetting isn’t exactly a one step process, LightRoom makes it easy (check out the photo on this post).

I frequently peruse ad postings on photography forums for used items to quench this endless gadget addiction.  There’s one thing I noticed, and here’s what I don’t understand: the photographers who sell their equipment on internet ad postings with such CRAPPY photos.  I mean, I’m not asking for fancy studio lighting with nice background and all that…but, come on!  At least make an effort to make it well-lit, properly exposed, with sufficient depth of field to keep the whole thing in focus, for crying out loud.  You’re a photographer–or at least trying to be one.  What does it say about you as a photographer if you can’t take decent photographs of gear you’re trying to sell, hmm?
