Gary Fong is an Asshole
Many moons ago I was stupid enough to buy one of his “LightSphere” products. When it arrived I was surprised to see how large it was; it was the size of an actual tupperware! I haven’t used it since I did some test shots when I first got it…while I’m sure it would work, it would cause too much attention. Forget it!
Anyway, since ordering the product, I’ve been getting “newsletters” from him. I already unenlisted my e-mail address TWICE and I’m still getting the newsletters. I don’t like business people who disregard privacy just like that.

wow, from hundreds of sites with nothing but praise for Mr. Fong, it is sort of refreshing to hear that someone has a different opinion. Im tired of plastic tupperware flash accessories that are seriously overpriced. I bet real tupperware would do just as well (sounds like a review eh?) and would cost at A FRACTION of his price.

well, i wouldn’t go as far as using an actual tupperware…but i say if you already have an omnibounce or that omnibounce-like thingy on an SB-800, the quality of light you gain from the lightsphere isn’t worth making yourself looking like an idiot for sporting a huge-ass tupperware-like thing on your flash.

It’s great there are people like you. You make people like me look GREAT. My Lightshere was a tax deductable purchase. The quality of light it produces was so fantastic I have an income gain. Bottom line is this product works very well and well worth a $50.00 tax right off.

^^^ Good for you, William. I guess when you drank the Kool-Aid you went back for seconds?
BTW, the word is “tax write-off.”
