I was watching an episode of Family Guy tonight and in one particular scene, they poked fun at “The Da Vinci Code.” And I especially liked the part when Lois said:

“Oh, and the chapters are only about 2 pages long, so you feel real smart when you read it.”

That was awesome.

Today I went to the “Alphabet of Manliness” book signing at Borders Bridgewater.  This was my first book signing and until this day, I always thought that book signings are too gay.  I was surprised by the number of people that actually showed up there (a LOT).  Mostly are, I think, high school and college students. 

Maddox is a humble and soft-spoken guy in person–almost the opposite of the character he personifies in his website.

Many moons ago I was stupid enough to buy one of his “LightSphere” products. When it arrived I was surprised to see how large it was; it was the size of an actual tupperware! I haven’t used it since I did some test shots when I first got it…while I’m sure it would work, it would cause too much attention. Forget it!

Anyway, since ordering the product, I’ve been getting “newsletters” from him. I already unenlisted my e-mail address TWICE and I’m still getting the newsletters. I don’t like business people who disregard privacy just like that.

Yes, it’s taking a lot longer than expected because the camera has a number of features that I’m not just used to, and it’s either I just found a way to get around ‘em or I am just starting to get used to it.
