...don't buy any memory upgrades from Apple. As you might know, I just bought a PowerBook. I just went and got the default memory because they charge like an arm and a leg for the memory upgrades: about $400 for upgrade to 1.25GB.

After doing some real searching, I got that same upgrade from Newegg. It's a Crucial memory chip with the same specs. Price? about $125 tax included, shipped.
