I saw the trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4 last night. Man, that was one awesome game in the making. And I had no doubt in my mind that it was all real time...but Hideo made another presentation anyway, showing that it was indeed all in real time.

This morning, I almost cried when I read an article that Hideo announced that he will retire from making any more MGS games after the 4th installation. But I am sure that the MGS franchise will be taken over by somebody as equally genius...Hideo hinted that Kirby creator might succeed him...How can he go wrong? The man created that cute, cuddly Kirby character.........er...d'oh!!!

After seeing that trailer, I am definitely sure I won't be buying the XBox 360 anytime soon...It will definitely be the PS3 and Revolution for me this time...

Speaking of the Revolution, I still have doubts about the new controller. But they've never had any misses on designing controllers...from the first analog controller on the N64, to the trigger buttons and near-perfect RF implementation on the GC controller...But then the Revolution controller is DRASTICALLY different...talk about straying from the mainstream design. On the other hand, they got a positive testimony from game god Hideo Kojima!

I just saw the trailer for Quake 4. I've never been more bored. when i saw it, i was like "What the hell is this? Is this a Doom 3 expansion pack?" It's so dark and boring. The monsters are soooo from 5 years ago...and given the "advanced features" of the Doom 3 engine, why the hell does the people move THE SAME as the monsters? and they all move like robots with hemorrhoids...so unnatural. Did I mention that the trailer was boring? John Carmack must be cringing when he saw this trailer. It's really boring. Thank God there's F.E.A.R. and so many other great PC games out there...
