It's probably considered an oxymoron to make a "good" movie out of this trainwreck novel.

First of all, the novel was written by a hack. Some guys have all the luck, I say.

Second, It's they didn't pick Julie Delpy to play the French chick. What the hell?

Third, it's going to be top billed by Tom Hanks. Sure, Tom Hanks is a great actor and all, but given how Dan Brown envisioned his Robert Langdon to be a young Harrison Ford...well, you probably get the idea: Tom Hanks just doesn't have that appeal that Ford can pull off...Imagine if Tom Hanks played that lead on "The Fugitive." I rest my case. He could probably still pull it off, though...if he had his physique he had for the movie "Cast Away." Oh man this is getting too gay...

All in all, I think Ron Howard is going to screw this one up. He's going to lose more hair. If he did manage to make this into a good movie (by re-writing the whole story, I guess), He should be nominated as a saint...'cause that's a whole lot of miracles...
